The book is a fascinating tale as well as wonderfully researched and presented history lesson in one. Through the different families some of the world's most historic times are presented through different lenses, providing a well rounded view. I learned so much detail about world history while being riveted to the story and its characters.John Lee is a great speaker that adds depth and brings life to the the different characters.Fantastic book & history lesson
