Dashford Piers is again mistaken for the most hated and most beloved Starpilot of them all. He starts out denouncing to be a starpilot but whilst his actions betray his sentiment at first he soon grows out of being a hero all together.
This book is a parody of both the idea of the wild west and space fiction. Acknowledging that most heroes of said genres just want to play where there are no rules.
He comes to a strong conclusion to his sublty executed but also wide character arc, which makes this book the growing up story of a 30odd year old manchild.

Exactly Yaazees style with enough silliness to make the graver themes fun and entertaining.

Already liking the first book of the Jacques McKeown series (will save the galaxy for food), it's world, characters and story, I've decided to buy go for this one next.

The author truly understands his craft, as exposition is done seamlessly and the story escalates at a good pace.

However, I've decided to write this review simply for the ending. It truly is a masterclass of literature. Truly amazing.

Thank you, Mr. Croshaw for this fun and fulfilling experience.

I'm not sure, but I do not think there ever is an explanation, as to why the group was hired for the heist. The explanation that is given in the beginning, makes no sense at the end of the book.

Otherwise, I love listening to Yahtzee Croshaw, the paste of the story is fast and easy to follow (besides my irritation at the end).

Lots of unexpected turns and twists, cool and funny main character. A nice sequel. I would read the next one too.

Wer Yahtzee Croshaw kennt, der weiß genau worauf er sich bei seinen Büchern einlässt. Viel Humor. Und auch dieses hier enttäuscht nicht. Das nächste Buch darf aber ruhig wieder etwas länger sein.
