I’m in love with my best friend.

Lie.

I’m in love with my enemy.

Truth.

But they’re the same.

They. Are. The. Same.

Lines in my world are blurry between fantasy and reality. Truth and lies. Love and hate.

Copeland Justice is my enemy. My once best friend. The sadist in my heart plucking and pulling at every thread of who I am until I’m unraveled at his feet.

His mouth says he hates me. His eyes burn with animosity for me. His heart beats for someone else.

But Copeland Justice is the best liar of us all.

My two favorite narrators, so this was a must buy for me ;)

Great friends/enemies to lovers story, it's fast paced and Cope and Penn just gave me so many butterflies - loved it <3

Loved Cope and Penn

I bought this audiobook because it ticked all my boxes: enemies-to-lovers, one-sided crush, the word 'sadist' in the description.

What I got: rich High-school boys. The 'enemies'-part is 3 lines of rude comments in chapter 1 then they go back to being friends & and the love rival is only a place holder and dispatched quickly.

Apart from totally missing to meet my expectation the story is shallow and short, the voice actors do not fit this story at all; way too mature considering that the main characters are in high school. Due to the lack of story depth, the whole performace is more like porn.
As for sadism... more like schmalz-y

not for me. pity.
