I’m listening to this book as I wait on a hospital bed. It has offered me so much insight and peace into the truth of suffering. So much so that as I await the news of if I will need surgery or not, I no longer feel the possibility of surgery, something I do not want, has taken a grip over my life. Instead I’ve been offering it up, uniting my suffering with Christ in the cross. Now I know that it is a heavenly money I know I possess a richness, a lottery in loving Christ and others. I must confess that started this book when I was having some personal relationship problems because I was looking for a glimmer of hope and meaning but I have found it valuable for all parts of my life. Cavins has a wonderful way of writing and speaking about the truth of suffering that will help to transform the lives of everyone. Indeed this book is a must read and reread for everyone.
