Even if you don’t live in the USA, this book is a relevant read. American politics and culture influence the entire globe. So, a big yes, „what this comedian said IS shocking“, because it is true. He’s holding up a mirror to society and it’s not just America who should be staring back.

Bill Maher truly carves through sanctimony, tribal nonsense, performative outrage, and cultural theater. His humor doesn’t dilute the logic, it actually amplifies it.

This is a truly Thought-provoking read. It does challenge you, your assumptions, your approach to politics and social involvement. And it nakedly exposes the hypocrisy we are all guilty of, at some degree. No one gets a free pass.

I listened to the audiobook, and I’m sure that if I had the physical copy I would have highlighted and annotated the entire thing!
