I have read/listened to every book in order until now, and I must say that this one was the best one. on to the next one 🙂

If you expect consider phlebas, this title is the wrong choice. this aint no epic timeless space opera!

it's almost impossible to follow this memento style plot after a full day of work.

but if u seek sophisticated complicated sci fi or willing to read the structure of this book as a reminder, you might be rewarded.

The Culture series is marvellously written and to me it is great storytelling. Though Peter Kenny as narrator is really tearing it down. Please Mr. Kenny, it is absolutely unnessecary to search for what you may estimate the most hillarious voices for the characters. Better just stick to the melody of your own voice, it is good enough.

I have been waiting literally years to get this Audiobook. Peter Kenny is now the voice of the Culture novels. Great performance and ecen though I had already read this book. It stayed Tense, Suspenceful and yet Lighthearted. Right up to the last second. What a story, read perfectly.

Story a little predictable. Storyline cut in half, one strain told forward the other backward. Needlessly confusing and not adding to the overall delight.
