As my first book of the series , i think the story could have been much shorter, but I guess character building for next books in important , nearly as important as the main story.
The audio performance is why I kept listening , amazingly read.

Reading so far every single cormoran strike thriller it is becoming ever more pleasurefull…knowing the characters and getting emerged into ever more complicated and breathless story lines.
A special praise to be given to the speakers and their soothing voices as well as the fine differences of british or scottish dialects.
I therefor recommend the book in its original language, as otherwise the dialects which reflect a lot of atmosphere get totally lost.

Looking forward to the next thriller novel of robert alias joan.

I loved it! So so much! Robert Glenister again most convincing in Robert Galbraiths newest excellent adventure of Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott. The newest case is, though a cold case, very exciting, and the insight of Cormorans and Robins feelings pretty much as exciting without it being cheesy. The 2 year wait for this book was worth every second. When is the next one coming?

I like all books in the Strike series and think Robert Glenister is a perfect reader for it, but I could have done without the detailed descriptions of how the girls were tortured. That really put me off,and there was no narrative reason for it.

Amazing writing! Just like all the previous books, as soon as you get into the story, you find yourself in such a spider web of drama, forbidden love, deceptions and “who and why” did it.
I am looking forward to the next one!

Her best Strike so far! I so enjoyed listening to it. That story and characters kept my mind occupied. I hope the next novel will come very soon.
