Die Void-Reihe geht mit 'The Temporal Void' in die Verlängerung. Da dies das zweite Buch einer Trilogie ist, hat dieses Buch weder Anfang, noch Ende, muss die Welt des Vorgängers weiter beleuchten und den Bogen zum Finale schlagen. Dies gelingt bedingt.

Der große Kritikpunkt ist, dass der Autor der Fantasy-Geschichte im Void viel zu großen Raum gibt, wohingegen die Sci-Fi-Story im Commonwealth zu kurz kommt. PFH ist zwar ein grandioser SF-Autor, schreibt aber nur durchschnittliche Fantasy.

Das Buch markiert auch die Rückkehr das Stammsprechers John Lee. Nichts gegen Toby Longworth, aber das ist halt wie Ripper Owens und Rob Halford. Jeder weiß, mit wem Priest besser klingen.

Alles in allem markiert der zweite Teil eine Durststrecke bis zur gewohnt großartigen Auflösung im finalen dritten Teil.

This recording is the worst I ever had
Loudnes changing coonstantly and all with a very bad overall sound quality
I do not understand how such a recording can make it into the market and onto audible

First of all the story is really great and I definitely am encouraged to listen to it further , if the audio quality wouldn't be so bad. The volume changes multiple times so much that you steadily have to adjust the volume because either you can't hear anything or it is to loud. additionally the voice is constantly distorted because of the bad overall quality . I really wished I could hear it further but I had to stop after a few hours cause my ears were hurting and I was annoyed by constantly adjusting the volume
