Über diesen Titel
Bradley had stayed in Abyss for far too long, protected by its tall, enchanted walls.
General Fluxi wasn't so kind as to allow such a promising chess piece to remain dormant. The elves and demons were running rampant in Arcana, their movements too disturbing to overlook. Bradley, unoccupied, was ordered to investigate, where he discovered a clever plot beginning to develop. There, he found a dungeon. Or, in other words, a tower...

This is getting boring
Overall nothing much has changed but the protagonists attitude is starting to grate on me, mainly because I feel it doesn't make much sense anymore. Yea in the beginning it made sense that he didn't talk to anyone and tried to distance himself, but after joining the army it seemed to me that he was clearly trying to get ppl on his side.
Now we have this book in wich he has the perfect chance to get a very good supporter in Wolf right at the start of the book, but instead he decides to be mysterious for no reason and pretty harshly dismisses Wolfs actually good observations.
The decisions of the protagonist were kinda strange and overly dramatic before but now he morphed into this melodramatic "I have to bear the burden of the world" kind of loner for wich it doesn't make sense at all that he even went into civilisation after fleeing from captivity in the 1st book, for this character it would make much more sense to go into the wilderness and fight with strong monsters one after the other alone while looking for dungeons to conquer.
Also this side story where the protagonists wife is involved was annoying from the very beginning because it's so predictable it hurts. If the author hadn't told the reader/listener about her fate right from the beginning it could've at least been a genuine surprise to find her with the elves instead of knowing and expeting the exact situation that happened in this book.
So, the contradictory and overall grating behaviour of the protagonist as well as the predictable nature of the story as a whole is starting to make the reader/listener experience a boring slog.
