Punkt 1: Story Kretick
Das ist mir in jedem Buch aufgefallen dir ist klar was ein Mensch in einem Leben alles lernen kann und du gibst zum lernen für Dinge gleich Jahrhunderte oder 20 bis 30 Jahre an da fängt an zu nerven!
Punkt 1:
Die Hauptstrang geht zu langsam vorrann dauernt gibt es nebengeplänkel und 1000 fremd Stränge die einem nicht wirklich interresieren! Was die Story verdoppelt und es wird langweilig! Du bist jetzt bei Buch 9 9 Mahl 20 Stunden also 180 Stunden langes Buch und jetzt ist erst der Anfang des Krieges es wird zu lange Max 10 Bücher in einer Story dan gehen meistens die Leute flöten beim zuhören!

Was mich am meisten aufregt ist das die Macht in diesem Hörbuch die Magie, die Grundlagen, so willkürlich sind! Jeder bekommt 3 Fähigkeiten zufällig! Und die gestalten das ganze Leben alles sind sie schlecht verpackt sind sie cheats juhu fast geschafft! Wenn die Grund Fähigkeit wenigstens von einem selbst freigeschaltet wird durch Taten oder dergleichen! Dann der intent auch zufällig nichts was Mann selber entscheiden darf wirklich sondern nur das was in der Jugend seinen grundkarakter bildet Mann ist also machtlos ausgeliefert und lebt damit Jahrhunderte oder Jahrtausende!

That’s never a good sign and yes, that‘s how flat his book is.
Everything just goes their way and plays out as planned and in between the few moments where the story actually advances a bit there is a lot of „well, they just live a happy life“.
A lot of food and cooking descriptions, furniture gimmicks, traveling, funny bickering, teenage love life (although everyone is 150+ years old) and all that stuff i am not really interested in.
No tragedy, no twists, no betrayal, no surprise attacks, no serious conföicts or ethical dilemmas, nobody dies.
This is the most peaceful war ever because Matt, his team, his friends, his family, everyone up to the emperor is super op and the bad guys mess up everything so bad they don’t even come close to achieving anything. If you want the equivalent to an asmr video in bookform, there you go.
It’s well performed, their conversations are pointless but funny, it‘s easy to follow and if you zone out or fall asleep and wake up an hour or two later it’s no biggie, nothing has happened.
