…It has quite some lengths… the development of the character is interesting, however some parts are a bit tedious. The speaker makes up for most of that though. I’d still recommend listening if you have time on your hands and are into in-depths character studies.

The book offers a very enjoyable read. Written in a manner that reminds of classic literature, the story follows the main character on a journey throughout her own life. I can wholeheartedly recommend it and will look for more books from the same author.

I have been recommended „The Paper Palace“ on audible, in bookstores, by friends. The concept sounded fascinating, finally a different type of woman‘s story. But honestly, two hours in, I couldn’t care less about these people or their dysfunctional families. Granted, the book offers some astute observations, but apart from that: it gives me nothing. There is some disdain for women at work here, all women in the book are awful - but not interesting enough to make me care.
