And when shortly thereafter, Willoughby's new wife—whom he married for her fortune—dies horribly at the party meant to welcome her to town.

With rumors flying and Marianne—known to be both unstable and previously jilted by the dead woman's newly made widower—under increased suspicion, Jonathan and Juliet must team up once more to uncover the murderer. But as they collect clues and close in on suspects, eerie incidents suggest that the killer may strike again, and that the pair are in far graver danger than they or their families could imagine.

Don’t know much so say about this book except for it being brilliant. I had such a wonderful time listening to this production. English countryside crime meets Jane Austen. I loved how the characters developed and I loved the closer look into Marianne and Colonel Brandon’s romance. In sense and sensibility it comes rather short. So I enjoyed that storyline very much. Juliet Tilney is sweet and kind and you can very much imagine her being Henry and Cathrine Tilney’s daughter. I also love the young Mr. Darcy. He is somewhat different from his father but (almost) the more lovable for it.

I enjoyed this sequel more than the first book and I can’t wait for it to continue!
