It certainly didn’t disappoint- amazing how lovely it is to immerse yourself with this gang of adventurous pensioners plus their troop of friends and nemeses. Richard Osman has managed to follow up with a heart-warming and well plotted new instalment in which Joy, Elizabeth, Ron and ibrahim take on heroin smugglers, drug dealers, romance scammers and plenty of dead bodies. Despite all the action and humour, there are some deep and sad moments, and profound chapters on love and loss and the meaning of life. Even though I am about 3 decades behind the gang, I loved this book and highly recommend it!
