The story:

Wie immer sind die Sprecher sehr gut und es macht Spaß zuzuhören. Die zugehörige Geschichte ist allerdings dieses Mal weniger gut. Es fehlt etwas an einer graden Linie, die Geschichte hat mehrere Höhepunkte und verliert dadurch an Fahrt.

wunderbar gelesen, klasse Geschichte und überraschende Wendungen - Cain ist einfach genial. Gleichermaßen ob erfahrener WH-Fan oder Neueinstieg - Wiederhören auch sehr zu empfehlen, um die kleinen Spitzen Cains aufzunehmen. Gefällt!

Very little of the action has actually to do with the Tau or the "Greater Good", though they kickstart the story well enough. Otherwise they remain for most of the time in the background. Based on the cover art, I had hoped for a little more side by side action of Cain and some fire warriors etc. But still a good story, in the usual way Cains adventures happen. With one of the most hilarious and at the same time shortest "reactions" from Amberly till now.

Another engaging and amusing book in the Cain saga. Narrators on point and deliver a compelling performance. Recommend!

I was so looking forward to an intense cooperation with the T’au as it briefly happened before. But this was mostly about AdMech once again, being the greedy dwarfs digging too deep. The T’au appear rarely as one single ambassador that Cain treats uncharacteristically repelling. Was this heavily redacted to not manifest a more true alliance in the lore?
Also Cain in this novel is not just more truly cowardly then before (actually requesting evacuation when he is still needed) but also Amberley seems to less often point out his heroism but even agrees to his cowardice for the fist time. In my memory binging the series that is something new and takes out the needed indifference about Cains character.
