Betrayed and imprisoned, dogged by the shame of a terrible failure, Khemet has endured the gravest punishment Necron ingenuity can conjure. Now she is free, offered a single chance to restore her honour and reclaim her standing. For Khemet to rise, a world must die.

I have listened to a lot of 40k Stories but this one goes straight to the top.
It gives awesome insights not only into the Necron side of the story but also the the Imperial counterpart. Great listen not only but especially for friends of the Necrontyr.

The story in it selfie shows that the warhammer universe is sooooo much more than just the game. It is a (un)living thriving universe that needs more stories!!!

This is an absolutely lovely story featuring tremendous voice acting by Gabrielle Nellis-Pain. 100% recommended for every fan of petty Necron drama without too much dragging fighting

Usually I do not care much about the genders of characters in stories. But in this one its made a point that all commanders are female, often replacing instantly killed off males. What made me even more suspicious is that in the whole story as far as i listened to atm ~4h. there is not one competent male character, which makes it look bad and no in universe sense. even by chance there should be at least one. most likely GW doing their thing.
