Amazingly well researched, it was a tremendous help for my novel project which is set in the 19th century.

All elements of the way coal and soap changed the world. I especially like how the development was well grounded in the practices well before coal, and how this knowledge base had occured, and how people adapted to other methods. This text gives a great fundament for living history practice too, for quite a long time frame, from the Tudor era to modern time.
