I already read the book in German but the English version is even better. I especially love the smaller plot twists and the chapters from the victims PoVs. I finished it in three days and can't wait to start with Book 2 of the series.

i loved that book when I was younger, the speaker's performance was not how I imagined the characters would sound but still great! bc I'm biased by nostalgia, I can't say if it's a good first listen but it's 100% re-listenable!!

Vom Anfang bis zum Ende äußerst spannend geschrieben und sehr gut vorgetragen. Sehr gute Betonung der Dialoge. Man wusste stets wer gerade spricht.

Obviously this is some opening of a series of novels about a "serial killer hunter", which I will refrain from continuing- one book was enough and didn't strike me as some precious piece of art.

Investigator Hunter's character is credible enough, but is only a few inches apart from the usual super agent: he knows a lot, deduces like Sherlock Holmes and is physically fit too. The story is solid but can't refrain from featuring the voyeuristic discription of the usual but unnecessary and unrealistic brutal murders. The killer is as so often the one who is close to Hunter from the beginning- which is predictable but once again unrealistic.

Wow this book is lame. It is so cliche it's un'heareble. I got it by mistake, I thought it's a book from Stephen King that I missed. It has so many awards (btw, all those best selling blablabla awards, this book is dumb, and the mainstream normies are dumb, but so dumb?) so I got it, then after hearing the first paragraph I knew I made a mistake. My search was for Kings novels but this crap of a book snuck in my search results (btw the search here is bad). STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEAP TRASH, unless you like your characters/story/setting a dumb cliche, it's like an episode of law and order but way way worse! Take care ppl. AK
