Liked her previous books WAY more
This story is nowhere near “The Sun Down Motel” and “The Broken Girls”. It feels like in this story, the writer failed to find the balance between the mystery and the mundane that made the two previously mentioned books so special.

Love her other books but this one…
Bad story. It was clear from the beginning where it’s heading and it’s just dragging and dragging and dragging…
The girl who voices shay.. my god she has a whiny voice. It’s so annoying. Like she is scared all the time. I understand it’s what she is supposed to do considering the story but the constant trembling voice.. that ruins it for me. It made an already bad story even worse.
