Bereichernd

presents an alternative for todays hussle culture, where times fly by. States that more is not always more, but that we should seek blessing in what we have.

Very useful

5 stars for the narration by David, 2 stars for the content.. Good stuff: the parts towards end about memento mori & salawat on the prophet pbuh. Not so good stuff imho: This whole praising of living in multigeneration houses and demonizing of “hustle” and individualism, I don’t know. The author seems to operate in tunnel vision. Think of your own motives to produce new people. Why do you do it (fear of emptiness) and how do you think you help others with this output? The book is quite all about collectivism, children and stuff. Not much spirituality. I write this because some of us do have suffered decades in physical and mental hell because of this disaster called family. Some of us are wasted by toxic society with skyrocketing overpopulation. Some of us do not really aim to push another heads into this world and show off with “look what have I made!” (congrats) but focus on our purpose which is to worship God. Children are worldy matter, Quran is clear on this in many verses. Family life is one of ways, not THE way. And if author thinks that women who locked themselves up in families with kids are content, wrong - mostly they regret, are everdependent, physically and mentally done, and never will be able to say it on loud. Technology, which development requires “hustle” and agile approch to deliver funtionning systems for this overpopulated world, brings tools - use it or loose it (yeah you need some sabr here). Islam is compatible with hustle times (actually perfect way for living here and now) and will always be my individual spiritual journey to Him (not some population rate support agenda to the world which is already…done).

I don’t know
