As always, after reading something by Sanderson, I find myself irritated at how good he is

less epic than mistborn 1-3. but no less addictive. a much faster story with a lot of action and magic (adapted to the wild-west / industrial Revolution setting) make for an awesome start of mistborn 2.0

I was biased before starting the Alloy of Law since the book is a lot shorter than the other Mistborn or Stormlight Archive books. Looking back this might be one of its greatest strengths: there is not a moment wasted in this book. The narrative unfolds seamlessly and there is none of my usual confusion with character names and places since there are only three excellent main characters and one city in which everything takes place. The Steampunk/Wild West atmosphere was a great breath of fresh air after all his high fantasy works. In short, a definite recommendation from me.

One of his best works

Feels like a criminal short story with a nice steam punk/wild west touch. Great character drawing as always by Sanderson. Very enjoyable read!

Must read for mistborn fans(and all others)

Build on the foundations of the first mistborn era but with a few twists. For example it is a modern ish setting and the allomancy and feruchemy are explored in different ways. Strong performance from Kramer as always
