liked reading the book a lot before, so i decided to listen to it, too. marian's books are never just simple love stories, there's always a lot going on beside the love chaos ending in a happy end. interesting characters, good story, nice speaker.

Auch wenn die Haupthandlung vorhersehbar ist, nimmt die Geschichte doch immer wieder einmal eine überraschende Wende. Zudem finde ich sie sehr angenehm vorgelesen.

Marian keys doesn't disappoint. The characters are easy to fall in love with and the story twists and turns at just the right moments. Made me gasp out loud and giggle away....

Ich habe mit den späteren Hörbüchern von Marian Keyes English gelernt - die Geschichten sind witzig, zeitgeistig und haben immer auch ein bisschen Tiefe. Chick-lit at its best.
Shusi for Beginners ist genau so - und das macht die Story 2014 schwer verdaulich. Sie atmet hat den Geist der späten 1990er Jahre - und man merkt, wie sich die Zeit verändert hat.
Trotzdem - die Story ist nett und macht wie immer bei Keyes 'süchtig'. Wenn da nicht diese Sprecherin wäre. Ich habe selten eine derart unsympathische Stimme gehört. Insbesondere, wenn sie versucht, die verschiedenen Dubliner Stimmen zu imitieren. Da klingen dann 18jährige Mädels wie versoffene 50jährige Schwerverbrecher, null Einfühlungsvermögen. Das ist schon ziemlich geschmacklos.

Die Sprecherin ist eine Katastrophe …
