À propos de ce titre

“Katy Summers has written something truly wonderful, and so beautifully observed.” – Stuart Martin

“The chemistry between our two love interests jumped off the page...an engaging and accomplished debut, a stand-out read.” – Tanera Simmons

“I found it difficult to believe that Love Rebooted is a debut. It's well-paced, the characters jumped from the page, it grabbed my attention and didn't let it go.” - Sue Moorcroft

FRIENDS. RIVALS. LOVERS.

Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after.

But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend at university, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it. In fact, she hasn’t thought about him since.

Unlike Finn who is delighted to have Liv back in his life. Could this finally be his chance to rescue their friendship after all these years? But he knows it’s only a matter of time until he wins the job and Liv gets laid off. He hates everything about it, but he’s a single dad with a daughter to support, so losing isn’t an option – not even to his soulmate.

But in the close proximity of a cut-throat corporate world, Finn finds himself falling first and soon his priority becomes breaking down Liv’s barriers. As the pair struggle to keep their professional and personal lives separate, Liv starts to think maybe Finn’s suggestion of a friendship reboot isn’t such a bad idea after all…

And as for that funny feeling inside… no, that’s nothing. Nothing at all…

Narrated by Emily Atack (star of Rivals) & Stuart Martin (star of Miss Scarlet and The Duke), LOVE, REBOOTED is a steamy, slow burn romance that will steal the heart of your inner-nerd. Because if we want a second chance at love, sometimes we have to ask ourselves the most obvious question: Have you tried turning it on and off again?

Autistic women characters have rarely been so well written. The characters were all so cute, lovable, all miscommunication side stories were resolved in a mature way, what a nice non-toxic example! Also, as a fellow LOTR fan, all references were so fun to read. I loved it, will listen to it again.

Adorable

Super cute story, some spice, no exaggerated drama (important!). Time passed so fast listening to this! I can even see myself coming back to relisten to it at some point.
The narrators are also doing a great job, loved the accent! In some cases, it wasn't immediately clear for me if a narrator was speaking as Liv or as Flynn, but it didn't mean I enjoyed it any less.

Instant favorite!

If you enjoyed Lord of the Rings then this is for you, since the main character absolutely loves LotR. The story is very cute, lots of up and downs but with a great epilogue. Very lovely characters! Easy to read and not too much spice XD

So cute!

Entertaining read. The love story feels genuine and believable, which keeps the story engaging even when the direction is clear from early on. What I struggled with was the book’s insistence on labelling. The protagonist repeatedly identifies herself as autistic, yet her behaviour often does not reflect the traits the story claims for her. The continual emphasis on naming and categorising people becomes distracting rather than illuminating. The story would have been stronger if the character had simply been allowed to be herself, without a label that the narrative neither explores with depth nor portrays convincingly.

Cute but…

It's a lovely story, narrated by two great narrators. This is a really enjoyable audio book.
