Über diesen Titel
Kristen Hall grew up a human - but she's not. She's a dragon.
And dragonkind will never be the same.
She's achieved some mastery over her powers and even defeated an enemy dragon.
But nothing she has done has prepared her for what's coming next. Kristen has been invited to join Dragon SWAT - a force of dragons which serves to keep order among their species. But not every dragon is happy with the status quo; some see humanity as a threat which should be eliminated. They're not alone. A growing number of humans feel the same about the dragons.
Forces are moving in the world to bring both races into a final conflict. The prize? Survival of their species and control of the Earth.
Powerful humans and dragons are playing chess with the future of the world. But Kristen was a piece none of these beings anticipated. She could swing the balance of power in either direction.
The Steel Dragon has plans of her own, though. Armed with the sense of honor instilled in her by her human parents, she's going to have to dig to the bottom of the mysteries at play if she hopes to have even the smallest chance of averting a catastrophic war!
©2019 LMBPN Publishing (P)2020 TantorAnd how in hell does the assassins logic work:"Let's kill someone important to the steel dragon, she will help us later anyway." That makes no sense especially since her target hasn't done anything against them.
Also the protagonists arguments for why she shouldn't have to do all the paper work in the beginning were written as if coming from a whiny child. Instead of asking them why she had to do all that paper work when she already knew how most of that worked since she already was a trained officer she goes and boasts about how she won a fight against another dragon, even though it's very clear that fighting other dragons is a very rare.
And on the other hand, why didn't anybody tell her what her job would be if she signed on before she stumbled into the place, you know, like how recruiters normally tell you what you will have to do before they give you a contract to sign.
story feels extremly forced

Kristen is a whiny little brat- why don't they accept me? I'm the best! I defeated a dragon! I don't like her attitude. In the first book her human SWAT team had quite a sense of humor- I miss it!
The narrator reads every! sentence very dramatically. I dealt with it in the first book, because I kind of liked the story, but I don't like it one bit.
This one is not for me.
I have to break up!
