A highly entertaining story, masterfully delivered by Davis, with a pleasantly surprising now-canon appearance of someone very special.

What a voice talent! A different and always recognisable voice for every character!
The story was a fun thrill ride. I was a bit shocked at how brutal it could get in the first few pages but that only set the stakes from the very start. The plot could get a bit confusing at times, some plot points leading to dead ends and then getting resolved differently than set up, but overall it was a fun story with a fantastic voice actor reading it to you.

The story in many ways is a little head scratching. If you are looking for a great Darth Maul story, listen to Shadow Hunter. Way superior story. Only thing I did enjoy were the many connections to other EU elements like Plagueis or Komari Vosa.

worse than I expected

The atmosphere was there and the narrator did a great job. The story however felt rather lackluster and at times quite boring. If it werent for known characters and fictional elements (lightsaber, "The force", the music), one could easily mistake this title for something else entirely and not the Star Wars Universe.
