I'm really quite taken with this story, brought to life by another indelible performance of the wonderful Andi Arndt (who, for me, remains one of the few narrator that perform voices of the opposite sex credibly).

The FMC was in a relationship with a guy ten years ago who was later convicted of murdering a woman. That same guy is suspected of having killed a number of women whose bodies were never found while dating the FMC. The killer goes to prison and the FMC remains in her hometown, searching for the bodies of the missing women. Townsfolk are suspicious of her and the police suspect her to be an accomplice.

That's the preface of the story and we get introced to a traumatised, isolated FMC who shows a lot of grit.

What makes this a fun, original read is that the murder mystery remains the focus while the inevitable lovestory develops organically alongside the mystery. The FMC is likeable and snarky, her two female sidekicks are quirky, and her lover is emotionally mature (and sexy).

The storyline has no forced detours. It's believable with likeable characters, a smalltown setting, and a darker undercurrent that keeps the story interesting.

It was included in the memership but I wouldn't have regretted spending a credit on this title!
