I have issues with some of the scenes when they are being read. The way she speaks Ms. Oka already makes me dislike the character. That character just sounds like she talks down to everyone around her which if she's a teacher is not really a good thing. Also that first major use of the appraisal ability gave even me a headache after listening to the same 3-4 words about 50 times. Might be a good representation of what that ability does to the person using it but it just made me want to skip forward.

Overall the monologue style writing still works pretty well with a quirky character like Kumoko,

Caitlin Kelly is maybe THE best Audiobook reader I've hearded to date.
