Kritikerstimmen

A (self) love letter to those whose brains are beautifully and uniquely different. Speaking from lived experience, Rox and Rich manage to shift the paradigm associated with ADHD, which up until now has been riddled with lies and misinformation. This book reminds readers that rather than having a disorder, they are simply differently ordered and when managed with kindness, it can become their superpower! (Riyadh Khalaf , broadcaster, Youtuber and winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2020)
Pre ADHD diagnosis I read so many self development books. I used to try to implement what I learned and would feel like a failure, feel frustrated and blame myself for being lazy when I couldn’t get those strategies to work for me. Books like this are so important for people with ADHD to break free from holding our selves to Neurotypical standards. (Rach Idowu, 'Adulting with ADHD' Neurodivergency advocate)
My whole life i’ve beaten myself up, comparing myself to my peers & wondering why i can’t handle life like them. but actually, ADHD has made me incredibly special, ambition, determined & capable of the most amazing things that others aren’t & for that, i think neurodiversity is a beautiful thing. I cried a lot during the book. Everything was so relatable. After my diagnosis I went down the rabbit hole and read/listen to a lot of books on ADHD, many of them are very well written but mostly focus on how to get your life together without really touching the emotional struggles, the selfhate and shame we experience everyday. If they do, they mostly focus on just changing the way you do things, but seldom touch the emotional side of things. This book is such a relief and help to vocalize to myself and loved ones how I feel about myself and my life and suggests ways out of the mental downward spiral. I loved every second of it, despite me crying. Many people in my life will get the book as a gift, spreading some love and awareness. I hope some day, there will be translations in other languages, as I could really need a German copy of the book. And I will suggest the book to my therapist so he may spread the word, as I feel like many more people out there need some encouragement and love. Many thanks for this great book and everything you two do for the community.

Most important lessons for us neurodivergent people

I liked and found especially helpful the self hatred field rewriting belief of the 'IM A FAILURE!!! GODS I JUSt Can't do everything right Chapter(s?)!', I would have prefered it personally ahead of the orher chapters. But I'll be making up for it by listening to it over and over several times. Thabks a lot, Roxanne and Rich. You really do have such a massive impact and this book sure made a big dent in my personal self loving recoverment from childhood abuse journey. Lots of love. The trigger waring much appreciated- my Adhder lover heart brain and souls. Love your work so much. You bring me personally so much joy and just emotions deep and gutterall and just fully whole rounded in the best way kind sometimes a little hard to accept but nevertheless all consuming understanding and connection making love and really helped me see the whole picture as I sure you did for other people too. This really helped. Thanks so much. It really changes the world!!! One diabity advacasy (especially invisible! or as well as visible at first glance) at a time. We're all different in our unique inkling and experiences as well as body's and brain tissue ways at a time. You a truely part of changing the world including our neurodivirgent self hatred impacted harsh critited souls one at a time. I'm glad to be part of this large world changing fight against ignorance with you all. If you need an eye opener why adhd is so world incompasingly fully impacting for ignorate it's just a trend of attention seeking teenagers nowadays who are actually just lacking in support and desperate to be seen as they really are by those around them and not just ignored. This is the book for you. Invisible disability advacasy touched on with the humanity and itty grittyness that lifing in this very real in places overly cruel and messy place that can get very dark especially in isolation and being misunderstood and made the scapegoat can bring. Remember all, you are a unique valuable gem of a creature in this sometimes cruel but also truely desperately longing and wanting for connection that is this beautifully fucked up planet that we call earth. Go kick some of that self louthing in the ass with a bunch of blankets surounded by brewed tea while listening to the all incompassing including childhood traumas, high and low points, rewriting of self hatred critsim shame spiraled filled negative to our very core self believes in this book and bring many tissues to it to. Ive cried over 3-5 times at least. Keep your mind your greatest most lethal weapon as your ever loving sothing understanding allie. This book is for you if you struggle to be that for anyone in your life especially neurodivirgents/adhders including yourself. Have at it, it's just one credit to self care, believe and a warm fuzzy loving hug of understanding and care. Click, Have now. I promise its a great help, you may need. Here. Hope this finds you on your way of getting well. It's a great way of doing so. As that may be the mountain foot stepping stool hand that a book can offer that you may need. You can purchase now and enjoy having your own share and experience. 😆🤟🏻💥✨🌹🌸💋💫🫰💐🌹🤞😊😜❤️🩷💛✨ P. S. Was just what I needed to get farther on this journey. Thanks for your support and understanding. It truely changes a lot for us, who are still learning about our conditions ourselves. Keep going! This Is all amazing!!!! Love your content. Am baised, but I'd say humanity after this book just seems stuck in abusive idnorante rumanation of disconnection making and in doing so creating hostile breeding grounds. And so, I'd say you're doing amazing, and I'm so proud of you. Excuse me while I weep in joy and pain over my phone and into my coach's pillows as I try to order myself a physical copy to highlight, as I listen to the kind filled with love and self sothing respect and adoration and self aspiring self understanding leadership to give myself from my brain aswell. I will be doing adios! Do not buy if you want to feel in agony forever and misunderstood massively alone on your own island, as these persople get the struggle!I'm done. Applause applause aplause. From a self healing journey and healing uncovering journey from discovery of self diagnosis myself. And as always have wonderful abd beautiful life. If you need something that really hits you to your core and rewires your brain from self torture and always self blame and doubt to kind and compassionate truthes love and accountable all encumbasing and inconclusive loving acceptance and sharing your full true authentic neurodivirgent selves if partner, kid/your own child or/and your lself might I just suggest that this is the perfect book for you. Definitely worth the buy. Will get myself a physical copy to highlight. Is beautiful safe soothing self care for all the way down to our beautiful and loved ones souls.

self believe that I'm a failure and soothed it with loving truthes to sit with.

Listening to Rox and Richard’s book was an emotional rollercoaster - in the most positive way. I am a huge fan of those two and also listened to dirty laundry (their first book). They talk about their own experiences and help to understand neurodivergent individuals. I got diagnosed with ADHD in February when I was 33 years old. Rox and Rich helped me so much understanding myself and why the world sometimes seems so incredibly complicated and why I struggled so much. I am so grateful for this book and will share their messages with all my loved ones. Thank you two for sharing your thoughts <3 you changes my beliefs and made me feel great.

One of the best books

The best book I’ve ever found on ADHD! I listened this book almost in one day because it is really THAT good! This morning I listened to the remaining 39 minutes. I also ordered the book in physical form too and will probably also give one too to some friends and family.

WOW WOW WOW
