Leilas book, although happened in Morocco, helped me a lot to understand the headwind my partner must have gone through before meeting me.
The book opened my eyes and explained many phenomena that I see in the middle east and I was not able to understand. The perspective of telling stories through secondary persons makes it tangible and relay able. I would like to thank the author for granting this intimate insight into the a women's world in modern middle east as well as standing up and getting active for these causes.
