Interesting, but discomforting
Interesting account! Occasionaly I wonder, if the author was really so naive as to believe certain things. It makes me think that it takes a rather specific mind set to get involved with an organisation (even a governmental one) that uses and abuses its employees in a rather cold nosed manner for years and years at end. This really being no state secret! It has been said before. If what Baer writes is true, that is a sad thing for the US. His book serves more as a warning then an encouragement to potential recruits and shifts a bad light on his country's services and political leadership. I am always a bit sceptical with this type of revelation book.
