Was hat Ihnen am allerbesten an Sayonara gefallen?

Michener's way to present Japanese culture via the love story Sayonara is probably the best if not the only way to help me apreciate the many sbtleties of that culture. In addition, he made me think once again of many aspects of life and love in general. I expected little and got so engulfed that I listened to the book in two days. I learned more than expected, was moved more than expected and now I understand much better the four japanese wifes of my acquaintances.
