Eine gelungene, sehr spannende Geschichte aus dem viktorianischen London. Wieder mit einer Verknüpfung zu einer geschichtlichen Thematik aus der Zeit: diesmal der Goldrausch in Kalifornien. Auch die Charaktere waren diesmal wieder gelungen, trotz dem man sie schon sehr gut kennt. Im Vergleich einer der stärkeren Geschichten aus der Serie. Und außerdem noch gut gelesen.
