Über diesen Titel
Proud to Be Me, a children's book series, is created for children who suffer from inferiority complexes. Many children experience bullying and mocking more than adults. What adults conceive as minor bruises are much more painful for children. Children's self-esteem decreases, and insecurity takes its place. For children to know who they are and how important they are to society builds self-esteem. Understanding it and even being able to laugh is very important. Laughter takes away the negative thought and destroys its effect on their minds.
Many adults have suffered from inferiority; some never overcome its effect during their life. However, there are ways to improve self-esteem in children. Proud to Be Me is a book that will allow children to see some differences in children that help them become more confident and prouder to be who they are.
Examples in the book are children who are slightly different because of their birthmarks, oversized ears, long necks, and large eyes that make them stand out. I wrote this book because I didn't like parts of my body as a child and walked around with a sense of inferiority. This complex is not a disorder; it is not a disability; the usual features are what made all the children in the Proud to Be Me book heroic. As time goes on, their peers become more and more interested in having something unique and special they can identify. The feature that will make them feel special.
Each time a child can achieve an external goal, they gain confidence in themselves. Making a home run or getting better grades or anything that will build confidence can give that child hope and a healthy outlook on life. To know they are good at something or give them a healthy balanced life. Confidence increases when achievements have received recognition. As the child achieves more goals, they will be motivated to strive for more. The book Proud to Be Me is funny and gives children and adults something positive to take away from it.
