This is not the practical book I thought it was. It goes mostly into psychology. As a beginner I don't want to hear about all the ways others psychologically block you. That comes with experience. I was just looking for practical ways to have a good pitch. A good marketing analysis. basic requirements and how to get them. Not next level stuff that might or might not be true based on studies.
I think investors are dying to find an amazing idea. They are not holding up forts and worrying about danger. They are curious and looking. You don't convince by looking at minutes and psychological tricks. You look at the information you need to pass on in a few minutes that they need to know. And since those are smart businessmen, they are aware that pitching is hard. If the idea has good potential and you did your research and you told a story, you've good chances.
