I guess that Mr. Boehmer is a decent narrator enough for other books, but since I haven’t had the “pleasure” to listen to him before, sadly this feels as though I’ve never come across a worse narrator. 1. His narration is so monotonous, even your average AI would do a better job. 2. He didn’t bother to familiarize himself with the correct pronunciation of the many Arabic names, terms and phrases in this book. As an actor you’d think you either have a natural gift for languages or put in the required work. The fact that he didn’t, imo shows the contempt he has for the subject matter., and that’s unacceptable. 3. I tried to ignore the poor narration, but when he literally belched out “La Ilaha illa Llah” I nearly got a heart attack. It’s really asking too much of me to bear this any longer ..
