Having already read the following books in the series, I was excited to finally start the first one—and it did not disappoint.

The protagonist is incredibly relatable. She deals with friendships, school, and the usual challenges of her age, making her feel real, while the action-packed monster fights keep the story exciting. So It never gets dull.

And if you’re wondering whether the series holds up—don’t worry. Without spoiling too much, the later books are just as gripping! If you love urban fantasy with strong character development, this is definitely worth your time ;-)

A perfect mix of a supernatural action story and a typical comming of age story

I waited for the story to get better. But I didn’t get to learn what happened so she survived the necromancy in her past. Whe she fought 50 and more zombies alone she didn’t get hurt badly, I didn’t learn how she healed only eating noodles… Hoped for the story to get better, but it just got worse.
