The plot is consistent and has a good mixture of action and calmer periods. And, most of all, it is really thrilling. Action is of course somewhat off reality, but it is not over the top. That is fine for an action thriller. I also appriciate that FitzSimmons doesn't sacrifice reaon just to increase suspense. Too many wannabe authors let their protagonists do irrational things just to make their story more thrilling, or they fall back on unlikely coincidences.

Some circumstances would have needed a little more explanation. For instance, how did Tinsley find Gibson and the others again and again? No word about that. So be it! This is not crucial for the story.
