The MC and her friend are interesting but that's all.
Some parts of the story made me cringe, as they made me feel as if the story itself wasn't the focus of this book as much as the message behind it. So if you just want to enjoy a fantastical short story, you might not enjoy this book, because again, it focuses on the writer's philosophy rather than the story.
The voice actress/reader/narrator is very good.
