I have read the book before -- which is fantastic and hilarious -- but the audio version really pushes it onto another level. As a non-native English speaker, I have trouble adding localized accents in my head, and Matthew Lloyd Davies does a tremendous job with them, as well as a grand work in making Venislarn truly an alien language. Nina Seth was my favorite character before, but hearing her in Davies' Brummie made me fell with love with her. And, yes, his Samakha are even better than I imagined it.
