Ich habe alle auf kindle verfügbaren Bücher der Autorin gelesen oder gehört. Die ersten gefielen mir sehr. Zunehmend mit jedem folgenden Buch empfand ich die Wiederholung der Grundidee nervig. Schlimmer aber noch war für mich, dass die Geschichten irgendwie eiliger geschrieben wirkten. Im vorliegenden Buch entwickelten sich die Beziehungen der Menschen im Buch wie von der Stange, erwartungsgemäß, aber ohne Gefühl, das ich miterlebt hätte. Vielleicht liegt es an mir, habe ich einfach zuviele derartige Bücher gelesen und bin überdrüssig, aber ich kann mir echt nicht vorstellen, dass jemand diese ganze Geschichte abkauft und vor allem genießt. Auch der Gedanke, dass mal eben die Wirtschaft im Ort von einer völlig unbedarften Frau angekurbelt wird. Und die ganze Situation im Ort, die die Ankommenden vorfinden! Naja, vielleicht gibt es sowas, aber ein paar zufällig sich dort Ansiedelnde brechen das dann sicher nicht gemeinschaftlich binnen kurzer Zeit auf. Man stelle sich das mal vor, irgendwelche Leute treffen ein, übernehmen deine Zitronen, arbeiten mega erfolgreich mit deinem komplzierten Familienrezept und bereinigen deine Familienstreitigkeiten. Klar. Und das ganze Gerede über Liebe und Zitronenbauern. So oft wiederholt, dass es auch der letzte im Halbschlaf Lesende bitte hören möge.
Ne, bin nicht begeistert und wünsche mir von der Autorin weniger versponnene Geschichten - am liebsten mal ohne Produktanbau und gemeinschaftliche, Verstrittene vereinende Ernte. (Northern lights war eine Ausnahme, war aber dafür extrem versponnen.) Der Schreibstil der Autorin gefällt mir nämlich im Wesentlichen gut. Inhaltlich habe ich nur mittlerweile so meine Schwierigkeiten. Deshalb aber noch 3 Sterne. Meine Meinung.
