Über diesen Titel

Fearsome Scots laird Gabriel MacLachlan must take a bride, but not just any bride. Magdalene, his liege lord's younger sister, is known to be as bonny as any Highland lass but as mad as a loon. Mad Maggie, they call her - and Gabriel has no choice. Not if he wants to put food in his clansmen's bellies, clothes on their backs, and repair the crumbling castle he calls home. A fat dowry in exchange for a madwoman, whose life will be in danger from the MacLachlan family curse the instant she becomes his wife.

A generations-old curse, an honorable chieftain, a clever beauty - it's the perfect recipe for a spirited Highland Romance.

Contains mature themes.

from the description I expected somthing like "never seduce a scot" but no. the female MC pretended she was mad so she would not be forced into an arranged marriage, alas that is what happens the male MC is coerced to marry "mad maggie". the madness prentense goes on far too long in my opinion - nearly half the book, where she really let them have it. her Farce is understandable in the beginning but she never Stops and assesses what kind of people she is surrounded with. it is so Frustrating because she behaves like a lunatic and then complains that they reacted to her as such and feels vindicated in her predejudice that they - and espaecially the male MC- are Monsters and brutes. WTF. And then the moment the Male MC finds out she is actually not mad he has an epiphany that he - and I quote: "loves her more than life itself" whaaaat??? are U kidding me??? why ?? until then they had not one sane Interaction. the second half it picks up a bit but by then my interest was nearly gone. plus there is not much steam. Meh!! 3,5 stars !!
