It might just be me, but I couldn’t listen to the voice of the narrator. It feels “mocking “.

Can’t listen to the narrator

I am a sucker for cosy crimes, especially at Christmas. I quite enjoyed the book, it was very nicely read, but I found the language sometimes a bit strange. The story is settled in 1938 and as far as I know for instance, the expression “yada-yada” was coined in the 1960s by Lenny Bruce. Otherwise it was quite enjoyable.
