Über diesen Titel
Dweck explains why it's not just our abilities and talent that bring us success-but whether we approach them with a fixed or growth mindset. She makes clear why praising intelligence and ability doesn't foster self-esteem and lead to accomplishment, but may actually jeopardize success. With the right mindset, we can motivate our kids and help them to raise their grades, as well as reach our own goals-personal and professional. Dweck reveals what all great parents, teachers, CEOs, and athletes already know: how a simple idea about the brain can create a love of learning and a resilience that is the basis of great accomplishment in every area.

Kritikerstimmen
An utterly compelling story of how the way we think shapes our success. Essential reading for anyone with aspirations (Matthew Syed)
Everyone should read this book (Chip Heath and Dan Heath)
One of the most influential books ever about motivation (Po Bronson)
A good book is one whose advice you believe. A great book is one whose advice you follow. I have found Carol Dweck's work on mindsets invaluable in my own life, and even life-changing in my attitudes toward the challenges that, over the years, become more demanding rather than less. This is a book that can change your life, as its ideas have changed mine (Robert J. Sternberg)
If you manage people or are a parent (which is a form of managing people), drop everything and read Mindset (Guy Kawasaki)
Through clever research studies and engaging writing, Dweck illuminates how our beliefs about our capabilities exert tremendous influence on how we learn and which paths we take in life (Bill Gates)
An essential read for parents, teachers [and] coaches . . . as well as for those who would like to increase their own feelings of success and fulfillment

If you have children or if you are a teacher, do them a favor: read (or listen) to this book and internalize the content. Then try hard to put it into practice. The same applies if you're a manager, working close with your employees. Sooner or later, they will thank you for it, like I do now with my former teacher.
A must read for parents and teachers

But half the illustrating stories would have been more than enough - and it would be an even better read.
I switched to reading it instead of listening to it. Its such a shame that the speaker sounds like she's telling a fairytale to small children which makes it extremely difficult to listen to and to concentrate on the subject.
The importance our Mindset plays in our life - a great book.
