While his friend Lucas starts a new life after the show, Trevor Daniels returns home to Iowa only to helplessly watch his young life falling completly apart. So when he is asked to join a new singing show, Trevor packs up his bags and travels to Vancouver to meet the film set and his new band. This time it is all about finding a new boy band, pushing Trevor way out of his comfort zone. Not only shall he be „Stand Out's“ lead voice but also pose as band mate Jalen's boyfriend while at the same time hiding a serious medical issue. With all that baggage Trevor is carrying around, can there be any chance of wining the contest and wining Jalen's heart?

Guess I have come to terms with Trevor's kind of squeaky voice, narrator Brad King has chosen for him, because no matter how often I start this story, I get sucked right into the vortex of Trevor and Jalen's growing relationship. Mr. King has done a stunning job portaying both young men discovering what is of the most importance for their future, while the show moves further and further into the background. Trevor's mood swings and Jalen's urge to help him and make things right, come out perfectly and tug at my heart. Especially Trevor's rather tough realization how to deal with his disease and learn how asking others for help made me just relieved Jalen was there to hug him. I am a true Trevor and Jalen Stand Out fan girl *smile *
