as always a great story and interesting characters. Im glad to found this Story and honestly enjoyed it alot.

Unfortunately, it’s nowhere near the level of the first books in the series. It also feels very repetitive. You could honestly make a drinking game out of it: every time someone says “Is that so?” take a sip — I guarantee you’ll be drunk within an hour.

I really miss the town-building aspect from the earlier parts, and the story progression is quite slow. Some of the MC’s decisions also aren’t exactly the smartest.

Overall, it’s still okay to listen to, but it just doesn’t capture the magic of the beginning.

Is it the narrator, the author, or the combination of both? I don’t know — but no other story captivates me and gets me hooked like this one.
The only thing I don’t like is having to wait for the next book…

Every scene with Lord Blackie is a treat... may he reign supreme (under God Evander of course)
Maybe a prequel will be in order some day? To enlighten us about this superior being "Khekhekhe... I remember the time when many lizzards took flight at the mere sight of us...."
