Wie schon in "Mystery Man" interpretiert sie den männlichen Part als durchgehend schnautzenden, schreienden und motzenden Alpha Male ohne Nuancen.
Sie liest sogar vor, dass er 'muttered', 'whispered' oder sonst wie murmelt - oder etwas in einer "soft voice" sagt. Das alles ignoriert sie und brüllt und motzt sich durch den Text und zerstört auf diese Weise (im Buch) richtig schöne Szenen, indem sie mit ihrer Stimme alles plattwalzt.
Schrecklich.
Im Verlauf des Audiobooks habe ich mich so über die Art, wie sie am Text vorbeiliest geärgert, dass ich es im 2. Drittel abgebrochen habe. Sie bringt überhaupt nicht die Atmosphäre des Buchs rüber, und das ist eigentlich eine Bankrotterklärung eines Sprechers.
Da die nächsten Bände ebenfalls von Kate Russell vorgelesen werden kann ich mir den Rest der Serie sparen, was ich extrem schade finde.
