Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?
Das Buch ist genial, das Hörbuch leider nicht. Und das liegt an der Sprecherin, die stoisch ignoriert, wenn jemand flüstert, schreit oder ganz normal spricht. Sie liest teilweise sogar vor, dass die Heldin etwas flüstert, schreit es aber.On top liest sie oft im Jammer- oder Leierton, was komplett unangemessen ist. Schade, denn das Buch habe ich jetzt x-mal gelesen, jedes Mal mit der gleichen Begeisterung. Aber eine Sprecherin, die den Buchkontext ignoriert, und stattdessen nach Lust & Laune liest, kann damit die ganze Stimmung versemmeln, die die Autorin so geschickt aufgebaut hat.
Verstehen kann ich das nicht, denn prinzipiell hat Kate Russell eine echt schöne Stimme. Aber ich habe mich im Verlauf des Audiobooks so oft über die Art wie sie liest geärgert, total am Text vorbei, dass ich ein paarmal überlegt habe abzubrechen.
