Eight-year-old Josiah is the second son. His older brother, Ahaz, is heir to the throne of Judah, until the unthinkable occurs. The king, Amon, sacrifices Ahaz. In the chaotic aftermath, Josiah finds himself a boy king.
To rule Judah, Josiah has to live long enough to grow up. When he does, the problems of the people and the country weigh heavily on him. As king, he searches for a way to lead Judah into God’s favor.
