You can easily hit pause at the end of any story, then pick up again days or even weeks later, to resume listening without the fear of forgetting the previous plot line or characters.
These brief narratives describe events from the author’s youth, college years, career, and current life in retirement. The subjects of the stories range from flipping baseball cards, the arrival of the ice cream man on the street, observations of the natural world, and contemplating what is true and meaningful in this life. These stories reveal that seemingly unrelated details are often connected to one another in curious ways. There is a hook at the end of each tale guaranteed to bring a smile. It is a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing listen.
