I was enthralled by the story. I liked the characters, they had a good development. Also the ending was quite unexpected.

Crime novels often struggle to maintain suspense throughout the entire story. However, this one succeeds in doing so, and I found the ending unpredictable.

Das Buch hatte eine spannende Handlung mit dem ein oder anderen überraschenden Twist. Es wurden einige sehr schwere Themen beleuchtet, mal mehr, mal weniger überzeugend. Die ganze Atmosphäre rund um den Kult war mir zuweilen zu romantisiert dargestellt. Ich verstehe dass die Autorin glaubhaft vermitteln wollte wie man in dieses Umfeld reingerät, was einen lockt, aber ich finde sie hätte die negativen Aspekte etwas deutlicher ausleuchten können. Alles in allem aber ein gutes Hörerlebnis.
