The jingles came at utterly inappropriate moments, did nothing to enhance the story, it was just jarring.

I love the stories so much. The characterisation was wonderful. Each character felt so real! The scene building was vivid especially for short stories. The melodies in between parts of the book was just beautiful as was the voice of reader. The description of moving to a new strange place and exploring it but also longing for home was a common theme which was written in such a relatable and insightful way.

Artfully written, each story giving the listener a chance to get a new glimpse into the depicted lives and identifying with the plights and everyday situations of the characters. I liked it and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in listening to shortstories that keep you thinking.

wonderful stories with a well enough speaker. but chapters of the audio book do not fit the content/stories and are not labeled in a way that makes it easily possible to navigate. should be improved for a book that is almost a classic.
